The course will present an introduction to how illicit non-state actors, including terrorists and transnational criminal organizations, raise, store, move and use funds. We will look at formal and informal value transfer, money laundering, trade-based money laundering schemes, and many other mechanisms as well as the role of the IC in supporting the U.S. Government agencies and organizations that make up the counter-illicit finance community.
